About
Sophia Mintsiveris is currently based in Boston, working toward her Master's degree in voice from Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, studying under soprano Angela Gooch.
At Longy, Sophia participates in work with the historical performance and opera departments and is currently curating her Master's recital. She takes an avid interest in music and art history research as it relates to her performance and programming, advocating for lesser-known repertoire and female identifying composers.
Sophia is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and received her undergraduate degree in vocal performance from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music in 2022, where she studied under tenor Dr. JR Fralick. She has performed in operas during her undergrad and performed in musical theatre and gala productions at the historic Erie Playhouse and the Marblehead Little Theater.
Sophie is also a classical pianist with experience in choral accompaniment, currently serving as Music Director at the Weston United Methodist Church in Weston, MA.
